Box Gritter
The Gritter Box has been developed as an ‘easy change’ option that allows a Boweld Tipper to be quickly and easily converted to an effective road gritter.
The system utilises a standard Boweld Body and the Gritter box (developed by Boweld Installation Centre, Neath Coachworks) has a slot-in Epoke Sirius SH3590 Gritter supplied by Bunce.
The combination creates a high performance and effective gritter that can be made road ready in minutes yet allows the tipper to function normally as a tipper throughout the rest of the year. This improves vehicle utilisation and minimises the investment required to maintain gritter fleet availability when it is required.
Volvo dealer Mansel Davies finished the truck off with additional lighting supplied to meet the demands and requirements presented during the Winter Months.
The vehicle pictured above has been purchased by Ceredigion County Council as an additional vehicle to its dedicated winter maintenance fleet of 3 Volvo FM4X4’s and a 6x6.
